For some, modern furniture appears cold, uncomfortable, expensive and impersonal. These are frequently the folks that like frills on, and age behind their furniture. If you chose cool colours, and do not balance things out with soft furnishings it could very easily be considered cold. But if you like warmth, then you will gravitate towards in in all types of style, and your personal choices and touches will shine through.
